Mr. Shane Oakley

Shane Oakley is a native of the Southwest Michigan area. Born and raised near Buffalo, New York, Mr. Oakley moved to the Michiana area in 2007. Upon graduating from Berrien Springs High School, he attended Western Michigan University to study Music Education in the WMU School of Music. During his time there, he sang with the Collegiate Singers and participated in the Bronco Marching Band, along with many other extracurricular music opportunities. In 2016, Mr. Oakley graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Music Education with an emphasis in Choral and General Music. Throughout his time as a music educator, he has worked with numerous elementary school programs, choral programs, and most recently served as Director of Bands at Dowagiac Union Schools in Dowagiac, Michigan. Mr. Oakley has a passion for educating individuals in many areas of vocal and instrumental music. One of his favorite parts about educating is meeting anyone where they are at, and unlocking their potential towards their musical goals.
